I tried to connect to MySQL but it failed.
I got this error "java.sql.SQLException: The server time zone value 'EDT' is unrecognized or represents more than one time zone. You must configure either the server or JDBC driver (via the serverTimezone configuration property) to use a more specifc time zone value if you want to utilize time zone support.".
I work on MacBook Pro, Workbench 8.0.17, Connector J 8.0.17, NetBeans IDE 8.2 (Build 201609300101).
I found like forum where people propose a solution like set variable MySql /etc/my.cnf etc etc but I couldn't find this file at this directory.
Please help me, cause I started my Java project and I choose MySQL but could not work with it.
